St Andrew Windfields Condos for Sale
In the City of Toronto, St. Andrews Windfields neighbourhoods, starts from East of Yonge Street to East of Leslie Street, Don River E Branch and From York Mills Road to Highway 401.
This is an area of upper class. Sure, when you enter Old Colony Road or Forest Hill Boulevard you would find some truly impressive houses, at the same time you could find lots of modest homes but still expensive. Houses have large lands in this area. At the same time when builders want to build new houses, mostly are allowed to build at least 30% of the land. Usually these homes are more than 5000sq ft. In this neighbourhood, other than few spots, there are no multi unit residential buildings. Most are zoned by the City, single family residences.
Woodsworth Road is the least expensive area in this neighbourhood, but generally the closer you go toward highway 401 because of noise and closer to the rail road, the less expensive the houses tend to be.
If you walk around or take a ride by car you could see lots of expensive houses. Lots of new, large with over 5000sq ft homes. Some with swimming pools but all with green area and lots of trees. Some houses are back to ravine.
Too many mansions in this area show an extraordinary range of styles. Georgian stunners, Tudor jaw-droppers, examples of ’60s and ’70s modern, the ’60s ranch style, the ’40s bungalow. All but a few are well kept and well financed. Windfields’ home builders appear to have specialized in the two-storey windowed front hall, the ornate outdoor carriage lamp, the driveway outsized enough to double as a hockey rink, and the doorway un-ironically pillared in classic Greek style.
This is not a neighbourhood with movie theatres, libraries or other busy public places. York Mills subway station and GO Transit on Leslie and highway 401(with a bus link to the airport) made transportation very convenient in this area. This transportation routs made it easy for people living in the area to have easy access to the other parts of the city.
While there are two major grocery stores, there’s no commercial strip, which means socializing and shopping require a drive down Bayview. However, the area is rich in green space and well-regarded institutions, such as York Mills Collegiate Institute and Crescent School.

Hello, I drive by some townhomes on my way to work. They are located off of Leslie St on the west side in an area called Stonedale Placeway.
I was wondering if you could give me a bit of information in regards to: average price, number of floors, bedrooms, parking in that complex.
Thanks, Kimberley
